The laminator is equipped with a pin-lift system with which the laminates can be lifted off the heating plate.
After lamination, the laminates are cooled down under defined pressure in a cooling press.
With the cooling press, the laminates are quickly and controllably cooled under pressure once the laminating process has been completed. The pressure ensures that the laminates cannot lose their shape while they are cooling. This minimises stress-points which can cause de-lamination at the edges. Use of a cooling press in the production of glass/glass laminates is explicitly recommended. The cooled laminates can then also be moved quickly into the next stage of processing.
