Development of New Technology and Manufacturing of Custom Equipment for PV modules production

 

This is the Technology Goals Roadmap to show the skills we achieved in the Development of new technologies in Manufacturing of Solar Equipment Business.

Flex PV panels production

2012 / 2013: Design, Manufacturing and Start-up of the first in the World fully automatic production line dedicated to flexible PV panels. The complete line is robotized and can produce several models of plastic-plastic panels made with crystalline cells.

Experia M1

2013 / 2014: Development and Production of new fully automatic Tabber-Stringer machine EXPERIA M1 working up to 4 busbars with real throughput of 600 cells/h. With less than 0,3% of cells breakage, the machine is equipped with redesigned IR Soldering System for cells with 2 – 3 – 4 bus bars, stress relief bend system, ribbon stretching system, motorized unrolling ribbon system, optical or mechanical cell centering system, integrity quality control with camera system.

This machine has been developed to outclass the standard tabbing stringing machines “made in Italy” in performance, repeatability and soldering quality at price 40% lower than any 2012 model machines.

InfraRed Soldering Technology

2015: Development of new InfraRed Soldering System able to connect un to 9 busbars on 6″ solar cells: the IR lamps permit to make a very fast and high uniform soldering all along the string ribbons. This technology is suitable for high production tabber-stringer machines up to 2.400 cells/h. This is a step ahead of traditional IR soldering system that equipped standard 600 cells/h machines.

Experia M1

2015 / 2016: Development and Production of new fully automatic Tabber-Stringer machine EXPERIA M1 VELOCE working up to 5 busbars with real throughput of 900 cells/h. With less than 0,3% of cells breakage, the machine is equipped with redesigned IR Soldering System for cells with 4 and 5 bus bars, stress relief bend system, ribbon stretching system, motorized unrolling ribbon system, optical or mechanical cell centering system, integrity quality control with camera system.

This equipment has been developed as upgrade of Experia M1 machine year 2014, to reach higher throughput than any other standard tabbing stringing machines “made in Italy”, at price comparable to any low cost Chinese models.

Millepiedi Soldering Technology

2016: Development of new Soft Contact Soldering System: Millepiedi Technology. This innovative soft-touch soldering system can be used for 1 to 6 busbars cells, 6″. The heated pins touch directly and exclusively the conductive ribbons, without influencing the cells surface with their heat as IR technology. It is possible to setup the temperature of the soldering head very carefully.

Ultrasound Soldering system

2016: Development of new UltraSound Soldering System for special metal plates application: this innovative soldering technology allows to bond a special tin to metal steel surfaces. This technology system, unique in the world, is the result of the development of special ultrasound technology and calibration of contact heat applied to samples.

Experia LAM600

2016: Development and Production of laboratory Laminator EXPERIA LAM600 with heated area of 700 x 700 mm. This laminator is able to make controlled heating and fast cooling of samples on the plate. A special heating plate has been designed to assure long time high uniformity of temperature. Cooling is provided by external chiller.

This machine is the upgrade of the previous laminators available in the market.

Experia M1 CIGS

2016 / 2017: Development and Production of new fully automatic Tabber-Stringer machine EXPERIA M1-CIGS able to connect CIGS metal steel PV cells at 2 and 3 busbars. The machine is equipped with Millepiedi Contact soldering system and uses the special tinning application technology. It includes stress relief bend system, ribbon stretching system, motorized unrolling ribbon system and mechanical cell centering system.

This equipment has been developed as a special R&D project for Asian customer.

Experia LAM600

2017: Upgrade of laboratory Laminator EXPERIA LAM600 with enhanced heating system of the plate to get best uniformity of temperature.

Uniformity of temperature at 150°C over the plate (Tmax – Tmin): < 2°C
